Call Out Your Soul

We live life thinking we have to please people even when we say we are not doing that.
We take pride in saying, "I do my own thing" like it is a badge and we own that badge.
Yet we need each other. Before we need each other, we need ourselves.
Now, in this time more than ever.
We have long forgotten how much of ourselves we have given away, pleasing the worlds we live in.
And now we are reclaiming that, however, we do not have to go all the way to not including others in our lives either.
We have all been hurt, we have all struggled in one way or another.
Some of us wear that as a badge of hurt, as a code of honor.
Others of us have learned to let things go so we can feel free to play and enjoy life along the way.
The bigger question is who are you in all of this?
We have long forgotten this is a choice since we think that is the way we are.
We are and we aren't.
We are used to it.
We don't have to stay used to it if we do not want to.
Just for today, ask yourself, call out your soul, and ask "Am I doing right by myself?"
You will feel the answer.
You will know without a doubt.
If you cannot hear yourself, your thoughts, you are either trying too hard or you do not want to.
We are all hardwired to ourselves, our emotions, our desires and we are the only ones who are with ourselves all the time.
Taking care of yourself has nothing to do with what you do, it has only to do with how you tend to your emotions and what that looks like in your everyday life.
Love you, love the world.
Don't like you, no matter what you say, Don't like the world.
The world becomes the excuse of all the ignoring of ourselves in our deepest knowings.
When you get that you are real, you have control of you, you can do what you know you can do, the world starts to look different.
People start to look like partners.
Friends start to look like love and support.
Family starts to appear as purity and candor.
We are souls. Easy to say. More interesting to live.
Live.
