Self Love In Conversation

I have heard so many beautiful people say "I just can't do that?"
What is 'that" I say?
I have never done it before and I can't be what you are saying to me.
What am I saying to you?
That I could do 'that'?
Do what?
Live my life the way I want to?
Why?
Because the people around me don't understand me.

I say, 'Do you understand you?
Yes.
How could you understand yourself if you are around people who do not understand you?
I do. If they knew the real me they would not be here.
Well, if the people around you would not be there if they knew the 'real' you, would you have considered that maybe you are around people who do not support you?
I never thought of it that way.

Do you believe in your heart that there is anyone on this Earth that can understand you?
I haven't met anyone yet.
Have you tried?
No, I don't have the time.
What does it take to understand you?
I don't believe I am lovable or worth a try.
What do you mean?
I don't understand why anyone would want to be with me, support me or see value in me.

How do you assume all of that, take it as everyone not knowing you when you are the only judge and jury to decide that?
Wow.
Why do you, we, take away from ourselves with broad stroke comments and drive our lives without a challenge to those thoughts?
I don't know. I guess if I knew I would do something about it, but honestly, I don't know how or what to do.
It all goes back to self-love. Were you ever taught what self-love means?
No, I don't know anyone who loves themselves.

You know me. I love myself.
Really? How do you love yourself?
I take care of my needs first so that I can understand my needs which breeds in me to believing everyone else has needs too.
Like what needs?
Needs. like making sure I love from my heart. The other is telling the truth so I don't have to live with all the dramas of not telling the truth and I put myself in a position of not compromising myself and rationalizing why I had to do things that I know are not in my best interest.

I could never do that.
Really?
I don't know where to start.
I get that. Start cleaning out your car, house, work, and start doing things you put off. Make a list of things you put off even if it is three pages long. Every single last thing you need to do. Get it all out of you and on paper. Look at it. Put it down. Start cleaning something.

What does that have to do with what you said?
It has everything to do with it. Cleaning organizes your mind and gets you ready to accept the bigger parts of yourself.
You have to try it to feel it.
You see, you were waiting for an answer, and your answer is waiting for your question.
OMG! How could I not see that?
You could see it now, no one has told you that yet. That's all.
You have always been able to do it. And now you know how to use that ability.
