Heart Are Not Broken, Hearts Are Healers

When we say someone broke our heart, it is an impossibility.
Not because our heart cannot feel like it is broken, but because our heart does not have "breaking" as part of what it is.
Our heart is designed to put the feelings onto the things we choose to do.
We are the ones who choose what we are going to do.
Our heart comes along for the ride.
It questions us, it gives us feelings.
Good feelings when we feel we are growing and moving forward.
Awkward feelings when we start to sense that what we are seeing is not growing us anymore.

Our hearts owe us nothing.
They are simply our barometer of what we are doing and the feelings that result from it.
Saying our feelings are hurt is the truth.
And for the most part, they were hurt before this time.
So we go to the place that lives in us that hurt and the pain is so deep from all the other unsolved times.
So what do we do?
How do we heal ourselves?

Speak to your heart.
"Heart, I have been here before. Where it hurts and it hurts a lot. I know it is never easy when we have these kinds of visits, yet I have been here before which means I will eventually leave here and visit my happier parts.
Please take care of me while I am here. I don't visit as much as I use to which is a good thing.
The more I trust you, I can see that no matter what happens, I am still whole even when I feel there is a hole in you.
Remind me how I made it through everything else even before this time.
And remind me how I may be back again, and there you will be, telling me that I will live to tell about that event too.
When I come to you I heal.
That is what I have learned from you.
My heart is my home.
Not a broken place, a healing place."
