Turning Internal Chatter into Gifts

Our greatest asset is how we interact internally within ourselves.
At times our thoughts feel foreign to us.
Asking questions of ourselves opens the doors we have with the handles yet unturned.
Probe like we would anyone else.

We are not perfect and fear of ourselves sets us up for fear everywhere else.
We are taught to fear who we are so that we stand still throughout our lives and live as we are "supposed" to live.
We shut down our gifts, our passions, conversations with ourselves and live through other's thoughts and feelings about who we are.
We even wait on others to tell us our gifts and our wants and needs.

We hand over our identity as though someone else can take it on or has the time to do so.
In truth, they have Their lives to live and we have Our lives to live.
If we do not allow ourselves to know who we are, no one else ever will.
We represent the soul that lives in our bodies and no one has the body that covers our souls to do so.

Sounds so simple to say, yet it is each of our biggest truths.
Listening to the chatter of our hearts and minds gives us insight into who we are, who we have been, and who we want to be.
Questioning our chatter gives us greater depth into our desires, wants, and needs.
Answering our questions to that very chatter gives us a path to take our chatter and create its gifts and dreams.

We were not taught self-care, yet we are now.
Taking the opportunity in getting to know ourselves, is a lifelong gift that will gift us every single day with the gift of the lives we have.
